The workshop will begin with a walking tour of our cut flower and dye gardens. You’ll learn about which flowers work best for dyeing and you’ll select your flowers to use in the workshop. You’ll also be able to choose a few flowers just for fun from our cut-flower garden to take a mini-bouquet home with you. After selecting flowers we will head back to our tables in the pavilion. We will then discuss flower hammering techniques and get to work on creating gorgeous flower art!
Each participant will receive a 24” pre-mordanted cotton bandana, as well as a mason jar to carry their cut flower bouquet home in.
The workshop will take place at Arrowwood Farm & Events in Melbourne Ontario in the pavilion. This building is located behind and to the right of the main building with the red roof. Some of the workshop will happen outside, the majority of the workshop will be under the Pavillion. There are washrooms and water available.
All supplies will be included. This workshop will be rain or shine so please dress appropriately for the weather. This workshop will involve a short walk out to, and then around the garden. In case of inclement weather, I will pre-pick flowers for us.
